Millennium Floors introduces the Fiddleback Engineered Australian Hardwood flooring range, featuring the esteemed Blackbutt and Spotted Gum species. This collection harmoniously blends the timeless appeal of native Australian timbers with the advanced engineering of modern flooring solutions.
Key Features of Fiddleback Engineered Australian Hardwood:
• Exceptional Stability and Durability: The Fiddleback range showcases remarkable stability and wear resistance. Spotted Gum boasts a Janka hardness rating of 11kN, while Blackbutt registers at 9.1kN, ensuring resilience in various settings.
• Authentic Construction: Each plank comprises genuine Australian Eucalyptus wear layers bonded to a multi-layered plywood core, enhancing structural integrity and longevity.
• Diverse Grading Options: The range offers 'Standard & Better' ABC grade, highlighting natural timber features like knots and gum veins. The 'Rustic Brushed' grade accentuates these characteristics, introducing a touch of nature into interior spaces.
• Refined Finishes: Available in semi-gloss (approximately 40% gloss) and matte (approximately 10% gloss) finishes, both smooth and brushed surfaces cater to varied aesthetic preferences.
• User-Friendly Installation: The patented Uniclic system facilitates both floating and direct fix installations. For the Rustic and Herringbone profiles, a Tongue & Groove configuration is employed, all featuring micro-bevelled edges on four sides.
Advantages of Engineered Timber Flooring:
• Enhanced Stability: Engineered timber's layered construction minimizes expansion and contraction, making it suitable for diverse environments.
• Versatility in Installation: Its adaptability allows for installation in areas where traditional solid wood might not be ideal, such as spaces with fluctuating moisture levels.
• Eco-Friendly Choice: Utilizing a thinner layer of precious hardwood over sustainable core materials promotes environmental responsibility without compromising on the authentic wood experience.
Considerations:
It's important to note that the Fiddleback Engineered Australian Hardwood range is not suitable for installation over any type of underfloor heating. Additionally, the current supply of 189mm Fiddleback Smooth & Rustic Matte planks exhibits a very light colour (Blonde – Straw) with occasional dark planks. This stock is lighter than store samples and the occasional dark plank requires careful installation blending. Prospective buyers are advised to confirm colour visuals with their supplier prior to purchase.
